Such decisions!

Alright people. I'm struggling, and I need YOUR help!

So as you all know, we are having the reception at the Ramada Inn, in the ballrooms.  In case you forgot what it looked like, here's a picture:

I'm thinking it's going to look funny if we do a "mason jar" theme inside this gorgeous ballroom.  I think we are throwing two completely different feels together.

I love these. But I'm thinking we need something bigger, and more modern.

I've done some looking around, and I've found some new decor that I also really like and I'd like some opinions please!

What do you think?

cake/cupcake centerpieces? LOVE.

I have so many ideas going through my head right now, and I'm not sure what to do.  I just want everything to be perfect!

Mason Jars..

Hey Everyone!

So I've recently become obsessed with the idea of using mason jars in the wedding.  Actually, making it a big theme.  I just think they are so creative and you can do so much with them.  So as a result, I have been doing a lot of pinning on all kinds of mason jar ideas that I'd love to share and get some feedback on!
I will start with centerpieces, here is what I found and I absolutely love it and it's going to happen.  Instead of doing 3 of the same size jars, I am using 3 different sized ones.

How cute is that, I mean really!?

These are glasses that I'm either going to make myself or purchase for the entire wedding party to drink out of at the reception, because I just love them.

LOVE!

I am also thinking about incorporating mason jars into the invitations.  They have some pretty cool ones out there:

So..what does everyone think so far!?

Justin and I will not be seeing each other before the ceremony so someone NEEDS to make sure a picture like this gets taken.(cough cough KENLI)
 I adore this!

Well ladies and gents, that's all I have for tonight, have to work at 5am so I better get to bed.

LOVES <3

So its been awhile..

Hello everyone!
Kenli was right...it has been quite awhile since I've last posted! Between switching jobs, working full time and being in school full time..well, I don't have much time to do anything. BUT these past few weeks I have really gotten a lot done.

First off...if you couldn't already tell the colors are no longer hot pink and shamrock green--I clearly can't make up my mind to save my life! But I am sticking with these new colors for good! I love them, so I hope you all love them as much as me.

Slate Gray and Orange are the new colors!!

Now that I have chosen my colors (for good this time!) There is much planning that needs to be done! Kenli and I have a lot of work to do! I will share with you all the ideas I have come up with so far :) and Kenli will keep you updated on any ideas that she has too, I'm sure!

Centerpieces?
So simple--yet so cute!
 Love!
Decoration Idea:

I'm going to show you one more thing and then I'll be done until tomorrow! Instead of doing the traditional guest book we are going to do what is called a guest book quilt.  As everyone enters the reception they will be asked to write on a piece of fabric and then Janet and Tammie Johnson are going to take all the pieces of fabric and make it into a "forever quilt."

How neat is that!?
Well that's all I have for tonight.  Hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

popping over from peachy!

oh hello. this is kenli. . . aka the maid of honor around these parts. (if you ever want to find me. . . go right HERE!)

we've been pinning and planning away since sarah last posted. . . which was, what, during the cold war? safe to say it's been a while. i should probably let sarah do the honors of filling everyone in on the changes since it is her day. i'm just the one in charge of this little blog's design, so i decided to post. (oh i also help with some planning and things of that nature, but psh, that's not important!)

for now, i'm going to throw up a few of my favorite pins. . . and maybe a few things i have in the works for the bride to be!

i ADORE chalk. and chalkboard paint? obsession.

that's all i have for the time being, but i'm sure i will be back!

update!

Hi--first off, I hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend! Our weekend was awesome! Justin's friend Grant from Omaha came down, and my mom and Kenli came down as well! We got a ton accomplished for our wedding.

On Saturday we all went to Loomus, Nebraska and went to Bridal Isle and I found "thee dress!" My mom bought it for me...thank you, I love you! :) It is so gorgeous...I unfortunately can't post any pictures or say anything about it because Justin wants it to be a complete surprise for him.  He doesn't want to see or know anything about it until he sees me walking down the aisle that day.  Plus--I can't spoil everything for you people! ;)

Kenli tried on a bridesmaid dress that we absolutely fell in love with! Our colors are supposed to be Black, Hot Pink and white...BUT she tried on a shamrock green dress and it's SO awesome.  Perfect for summer!!!! So our new colors are--Shamrock Green and Hot Pink.

After spending a lot of time at the bridal store, we headed to Yanney Park so everyone could see it! There was a wedding going on, and we ended up booking the DJ that they had! So there's another thing we can check off the list!

We went to the Big Apple ( which is a huge place that has outdoor mini golf, go carts, bowling and a huge arcade) and we are thinking about doing our rehersal there! They have a sit down resturant inside and I think it would just be really fun for everyone!

Our last stop was the Ramada Inn--where our reception is at.  We went so everyone could check it out and the best part---to taste test a bunch of food to pick out what we wanted.  The one thing that Justin wanted to pick out for the wedding was the food, imagine that! :)
The menu will be :
-Salad
-Side Salad
-Flat Iron Steak
-Teriyaki Chicken
-Cajun Mashed Potatoes
-Vegetable (corn, green beans? haven't decided yet)
-Rolls..with my favorite part, BAILEY'S BUTTER! so delicious!!

Hope everyone likes a least one thing from there!

Hobby Lobby had all of their wedding stuff on sale 50% off this weekend, so I stocked up on decorations.  I got our cake cutter and champange glasses too!

So, this weekend we managed to get my dress, reserve the DJ, and pick out our menu for the reception...plus we got a lot of little things knocked out too! So happy with how this weekend went!

lots of planning ahead!

Hi Everyone! There hasn't been a whole lot of wedding planning going on over the past couple weeks because I have been extremely busy with getting a new job, and getting ready to start summer classes!

BUT- This weekend my mom and best friend Kenli are coming, and we are going to wedding plan like crazy! Saturday we are headed to Loomus, Nebraska--where I am going to try on my wedding dress and possibly buy it--that is if i don't find one that I love even more! Every time I go there I always seem to find one that I like better than the one I have picked out!

Also on Saturday we are taste testing food at the Ramada Inn, in Kearney for the reception.  Justin gets to pick the food out so hopefully he likes what we have picked out!

Byeeee!

Yanney Heritage Park---Where our wedding is going to be!

So gorgeous! Hope we have a nice warm sunny day just like these people did! :)
